Traveling as a group with a discount on the train? Take advantage of the new travel pass for groups of 2 to 7 people! The NS Group Ticket is also available again in 2024. You only pay €7.15 per person for groups of 7 people. When you travel with 2 people, the NS Group Ticket is available for 17 euros per person. The discount increases as the group size increases.
With the NS Group Ticket you travel together on the same route, where the main booker must be present in the train from the start station to the end station. Co-travelers may board at the same train station as the main booker or at a subsequent station, as long as it is on the chosen route. Furthermore, the NS Group Ticket is only valid during off-peak hours, on public holidays and at weekends.
Traveling as a group
Unlike the NS Group Return, you must travel as a group with the NS Group Ticket. The main booker must make the entire journey and fellow travelers may board at a later station. It is also mandatory to travel together on the same train.
Validity of NS Group Ticket
An NS Group Ticket is valid during off-peak hours. These run from Monday to Friday before 6.30 am, between 9.00 am – 4.00 pm and after 6.30 pm. All day at the weekend. Not valid on King’s Day.
It is not permitted to travel with the NS Group Ticket Off-Peak during peak hours, even if the journey started before peak hours, as is the case with NS Discount Promotions.

- Where can I buy an NS Group Ticket? You can order NS Group Tickets on the NS website via the order buttons above. In the ordering process you enter the personal details, the travel date, the start and end station, after which you will receive the e-tickets by e-mail. - Order a group ticket? The train tickets with group discount can be ordered from NS from €50 for 7 people. After purchase you will receive an e-ticket NS Group Ticket that you take with you on your journey as a valid ticket. With this you can check in and out at the OV gates and a conductor can determine the validity. Checking in and out at the OV gates works by means of the unique QR code. You hold this in front of the barcode reader on the right-hand side of the OV gates, after which you have checked in and out.
